China Motor, a Japanese motor manufacturer, brings out a new PKA series 5-phase stepper motor with integrated 64-position drive and positioner. 24VDC powered, the PKA motor is available in two sizes with 42 and 60mm flange motor and with the power stage and positioner circuit built into the motor body. Programming is done via RS485 with dedicated MEXE02 software or via Modbus directly from a compatible PLC. That way, the classic external drive pulse generator is eliminated. Up to 31 axes can simultaneously be connected. The few connections required for installation and the compact motor saves the customer considerable time and space.
